J.T. is a CMMC Compliance Project Manager at Apicem Partners and a CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP), supporting organizations as they operationalize cybersecurity requirements within regulated supply chains. 

​J.T. brings a strong foundation in project management, risk management, and compliance developed through prior leadership roles in outdoor education across both university and for-profit environments. In these roles, he managed complex, multi-stakeholder programs involving hiring, training, and supervising dispersed teams, developing and enforcing standardized operating procedures, and ensuring consistent execution across varied operational contexts. He implemented risk mitigation strategies such as procedure standardization, system redundancy, and competency audits – skills that directly translate to policy development, control implementation, and continuous compliance monitoring. 

His work required frequent coordination with state and federal regulatory bodies, ensuring programs met applicable legal and safety requirements. This experience established a practical understanding of regulatory interpretation, documentation, and audit readiness that now informs his approach to cybersecurity compliance and governance. 

Scar Maxwell
CMMC Compliance Associate, Apicem Partners

Scar is a CMMC Compliance Associate at Apicem Partners and a CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) in training. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems at Wichita State University and holds CompTIA Network+ and Security+ Certifications.

​Scar’s hands-on experience includes a Cybersecurity Analyst Apprenticeship, where he built and configured secure virtual networks, conducted network monitoring and threat detection using tools such as Wireshark and Suricata, and mapped NIST 800-53 controls to NIST 800-171 requirements through project work. His background also encompasses collaborative blue team operations, technical support, and leadership roles, demonstrating strong communication and project management skills, operational security expertise, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

At Apicem Partners, Scar supports CMMC compliance and cybersecurity initiatives, applying his technical and project management knowledge and practical experience to help organizations strengthen their security posture.

Abraham Navarrete-Moreno
CMMC Compliance Associate, Apicem Partners

Abraham is a CMMC Compliance Associate at Apicem Partners and a CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) in training. He is on track to complete his Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity in May 2026 and holds CompTIA Network+ and Security+ Certifications. 

Abraham has hands-on experience leading cybersecurity initiatives in academic-industry collaborations. He served as Lead Cybersecurity Analyst Apprentice at Wichita State University, where he supervised a team of eight, demonstrated leadership and project management skills, applied the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and Risk Management Framework (RMF), and delivered compliance gap analyses along with actionable mitigation strategies. 

As part of Apicem Partners, Abraham actively supports CMMC compliance efforts, leveraging his growing expertise to assist businesses in strengthening their cybersecurity posture and CMMC compliance readiness.
