Jerry LeishmanPrinciple CMMC Consultant/Architect, Apicem PartnersJerry is a trusted advisor and advocate for in-house counsel, compliance officers, and senior executives, helping organizations navigate complex regulatory, legal, and contractual obligations. He currently leads teams supporting Defense and Critical Infrastructure suppliers across a wide range of sizes and cybersecurity maturity levels. Prior to Apicem, Jerry served as EVP and National Security & Compliance Director at CORTAC Group and spent 15 years at Microsoft.
Jerry is active nationally within the cybersecurity and defense compliance community. He was a founding volunteer member of the CMMC-AB Standards Workgroup, where he earned a Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his contributions. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the CMMC Industry Standards Council (CISC) and Co-Chair of the Software for Defense nonprofit. He is also a Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA), Certified CMMC Professional (CCP), Provisional Assessor (PA), and Registered Practitioner (RP). A frequent national speaker, Jerry advises Defense Industrial Base (DIB) executives on cybersecurity, DFARS, and CMMC compliance.
